Description: Put some REAL power behind your HTPC with AIVMS IR!
The AIVMS infrared control module turns your AIVMS system into a universal learning remote control. The module currently supports usb-uirt hardware with v1.4 driver installed. AIVMS IR seamlessly integrates with the AIVMS task system. Simply add an event, press a button on your remote control to learn the button, and specify the action to take place when the button is pressed.  Easily import Pronto IR component configuration files for nearly any piece of AV equipment. We also have remote control definition files to save you a little time, you can download them from right here.

The actions you specify for an IR event can command HD RadioPC, AIVMS Home Automation, External Phidgets Relays, AIVMS Macros and PC activities such as mouse cursor and button control, and ANY multimedia app such as Winamp, WMP, MPC, etc..  Remap any infrared remote to control equipment it was never designed for. Perfect for any watch that can send IR signals.

Intelligent Actions.
Commands such as PLAY, PAUSE, STOP, NEXT, and many more, use AIVMS intelligent actions.
No matter what application you are using (Winamp, WMP, MPC, etc.) or AV component (DVD, Cable, Sat, DVR, etc.) you are watching, the correct command for the media app or AV device will be issued automatically.  For example, simply map an IR remote control button to an AIVMS CMD action (e.g. CMD PAUSE) using AIVMS tasks, and whenever you press that remote button the current media application or AV device will be paused.  This extends the functionality of any smaller limited remote to a whole new level, as a single remote button can have 100's of separate "intelligent" actions for the single IR signal it sends out, enabling it to control all your media applications as well as every AV device you use.  You never have to fumble for a device specific remote again, as one single remote control (even an IR capable watch) will be all you'll ever need.

Create desktop shortcuts that send IR signals

Your family no longer has to struggle with a complicated and expensive HTPC front end.  Any number of AIVMS task actions can be issued with a single desktop shortcut.  Even the youngest child knows how to click on a desktop shortcut now, so the learning curve is 0.  A single click of an AIVMS desktop shortcut can change to a specific AV device such as your cable box on HDMI1, tune to the desired channel, set other device options such as volume, sleep timer, channel lock, etc., dim the lighting to a specified level, open powered blinds or drapes, and the list goes on!

Network IR Remote Control
AIVMS Tasks integrates with AIVMS IR for seamless network control of IR commands using AIVMS Client software from anywhere an internet or network connection is available.  You can command devices such as your IR capable air conditioner from anywhere you happen to be.  If you decide to leave the office early you simply command your home air conditioning system from your office PC to obtain a perfect environment before you arrive.  That same control flexibility applies to any PC on your home network.  Appliance control flexibility such as this becomes increasingly more important with today's rising energy costs, and you can take advantage of the fact that many new appliances such as air conditioners are controllable by IR signals.

Control your AV system with any multi-button mouse.
Intelligent actions and conditional states can turn your mouse functions (buttons/scroll wheels) or keyboard keys into a nearly unlimited IR control system.  Everything from simply changing channels or volume to extremely complicated onscreen menu navigation can be achieved with a just few mouse functions.

Titantv integration enables one click viewing for any device with a TV tuner, and one click recording using any DVR capable cable TV or satellite TV set top box.
You no longer have to be frustrated by slow and hard to navigate cable or sat box content menu's. Nearly everyone has tried to go from something like channel 665 to channel 5 on a cable box menu just to see what's on, with an excruciating amount of remote button presses to get there.  Now you can select from hundreds of different channels just as fast as you can navigate a web page and click on a link. Titantv has extended program descriptions and a very useful rating system to help you select the very best content to view.  You can limit it to only display your favorite channels, so you need not be inundated with all those garbage channels that are so conveniently included with your cable or sat TV package as well as those you don't even subscribe to.

AIVMS IR requires a working installation of AIVMS and IR transceiver hardware.
